“I am an anarchist communist. I love life and freedom.
Let’s fight to tear down the prisons which bury inside them thousands of living people.
Let’s fight for the vision of social liberation.
Let’s fight for the liberation of our class from the authority of the capital”
– Tasos Theofilou
Join us this Friday 23rd of June for a benefit event in solidarity with the anarchist communist Tasos Theofilou, who is currently in prison, after being sentenced on the basis of forged and non existent evidence. He was convicted just because he is an anarchist. He was convicted because he didn’t lose his smile even when the court announced his sentence.
Case updates, projections and phone call interventions from Athens.

As part of the 2017 Year of Resistance against IPP Sentences, Smash IPP have called for a Fortnight of Action this July 9th – 23rd 2007.
More than 3989 people are serving IPP (Imprisonment for Public Protection) sentences in British prisons. Five years since the sentence was legally abolished, thousands still languish in jails with no release date. Parole board delays, prison overcrowding, and sheer neglect is leading to unprecedented rates of prisoner suicides and self-harm. 80% are over tariff and desperate to be free. THIS FORTNIGHT IS FOR THEM.
The time is now to escalate and generate unrelenting pressure on the government, prison profiteers and the parole boards who are all complicit in ripping families apart, ruining lives and killing working class young people who have died as a result of the mental strain of being an IPP.
This fortnight of action is dedicated to Charlie Noakes, an IPP prisoner who died on the 23rd July 2016 as a result of prison neglect and the despair of this sentence. Let’s make this an amazing fortnight of action in honour of the life HMP stole.
Prison island has become the world’s first to use a new repressive technological system designed to stop drones flying over perimeter walls to drop contraband into prisons.
The device creates a 2,000ft (600m) shield around and above a prison that will detect and deflect the remote-controlled devices. It uses a series of “disruptors”, which are sensors to jam the drone’s computer, and block its frequency and control protocols. The operator’s screen will go black and the drone will be bounced back to where it came from.
The new system, called Sky Fence, is being installed at Les Nicolles prison on Guernsey island, where around 20 “disruptors” will be put in place on the perimeter and inside. The Channel Island jail was initially going to install a drone detection system, but went a step further to put in the technology that stops drones in-flight.

On the night of June 7th, an explosive-incendiary device was placed in a branch of Bankia located in the Mirasierra colony of Madrid, disturbing the tranquillity of the upper-middle class people that reside there. This urban area is populated with chalets and mansions that are covered with CCTV and private security patrols, far from the misery that cements the standard of living of its inhabitants.
This action was carried out after we heard about the sentencing of our compañera for expropriations in Germany, we send her all the warmth of our fire.
We also frame our action in the context of the call-out against the G20 financial summit in Hamburg.
Tonight our anger and disgust also erupted at the impotence of daily life, with an attempt to escape the passivity and give back some of the violence that we live under. We are fed up with the comfort of programmed life and political activity, which is also programmed; We want to embrace with this act all those who have fallen in action and fight to the death against all that keeps us in passivity.
Let the solidarity between anarchists be more than just written words! For Anarchy!

As a minimal sign of complicity and solidarity, we displayed a banner at the Polytechnic on Patision the night of June 19th.
Comrades in Italy, and specifically the 7 comrades of Croce Nera Anarchica, Radioazione and Anarhija.info, with the new operation which started at 2/6/17, are accused of articles 270bis (subversive association with purposes of terrorism) in conjunction with the anarchist comrades under investigation in the first part of the OP. Scripta Manent for the same things, and 414 of penal code (criminal solicitation, always with purposes of terrorism). This is the continuation of the first operation “Scripta Manent” where bastard Roberto Maria Sparagna organized, in order to suppress the comrades who spread the words and keep the flame of rebellion alive.
We stand on their side and give them the boost, with all means , to continue.
For a dangerous June!

From center to periphery
Looking elsewhere and otherwise. To think about how to throw the game of
the opponent into disorder, instead of playing a hand. Of how to
confound him, rather than to counter strike. Of how to surprise him,
possibly, being where he doesn’t expect us, doing what he does not
expect us to do. Trying to understand not what has always been done, but
rather how to do what has never been done. To await situations at the
cliff to make them precipitate, rather than chasing after them to
possibly influence them with the weight of our (inhibited) presence. Or
yet to intervene by treading through the periphery of a given situation
without paralyzing ourselves in the central choke. Or even still, to
anticipate these situations in order to divert them elsewhere,
shattering the plans of the enemy.

Two weeks after the demo outside “Le Sughere” prison in Livorno, from prisoners’ letters we learn that they heard the warm solidarity coming from speeches, slogans and fireworks, and decided to take part in the protest with two hours of bar-beating and some bedsheets in flames.
An intense day that of 20th May in Livorno. There were many of us outside there: comrades from several cities, Stefano Crescenzi’s family* and mothers of other kids murdered by prison. At the top of our lungs, about 150 of us broke the silence that walls and enclosures want to impose inside and outside.
Translated by act for freedom now!
In the end an arrest warrant for one year’s imprisonment got me, following a sentence in 2012 (more or less) for giving false ID in Val Clarea, during one of the many controls by the Sardinian hunters and digos. I’ve got several other trials that are about to come (interrupting a procedure for a TSO [compulsory psychiatric treatment] in Bologna back in 2007, the mega NO TAV trial following the events of 3rd July 2011…), which will add more years to my CV.
At first I didn’t want to write anything public, I wanted to leave everything in ‘silence’, the silence where one doesn’t know what to say or do…
But thinking it over, it’s better not to!
I decided that I want to stay ‘free’ as long as I’m able to run, good!
Then ‘whatever happens take it in your stride’, be it positive or negative, I’ll try to live it as intensely as possible.

It’s May 18th, the date of my parole, but I’m still in the slammer and I’m going to be staying here.
Sentence judge Catherine Ardaillon, left-wing trade unionist, activist at the Evry tribunal and at Fléury-Mérogis prison, has decreed that all the same, for cases like mine, its lucky that there are prisons and therefore adjusting my sentence is out of the question.
Unlike my last sentence, I am not under the yoke of the anti-terrorist law, but in practice it is still applied to me.
This is why the application for permission to go to a job interview ( which can not be refused at the end of a sentence), which I handed over to my SPIP, Jean-Baptiste, miraculously transformed into a simple request for ‘permission to maintain family ties’, so that it could be rejected by JAP Catherine Ardaillon.
For several weeks now, I have been subjected to numerous searches, searches of my cell, searches of my body, etc. They found nothing until an informant (who must have been very close to me, to give such precise information) told them where I was hiding my SIM cards. So a few days ago they found 3 SIM cards hidden inside a packet of new rolling papers. They were hidden intersperesed between the papers at the bottom of the packaging. During the search, the guard reacted in a way that netrayed that they had an informant: just before the search, when I emptied my pockets before undressing, he immediately took my 2 packets of rolling papers aside, but he seemed disinterested by the rest. I knew I was done, and indeed, at the end of the search, he said to me: “And here, there is nothing?” Then he pulled out all the sheets one by one until the SIM cards appeared.
In the days that followed, some of the prisoners who I am close to have undergone similar searches.
Pittsburgh anarchists held a march in solidarity with anarchist prisoners on June 11th, 2017. Full marching band in tow, the group disrupted traffic patterns and whatever the fuck else gross yuppie shit goes down on Butler Street, Pittsburgh’s “hipster” strip. Banners in solidarity with Eric King, Marius Mason, and Fernando Bárcenas were on display, along with other anti-prison banners.
After the march, a picnic and info fair was held near by, where t-shirts and buttons were traded in exchange for commissary funds for Joseph Buddenberg, Nicole Kissane, Eric King, and Marius Mason.

G7 and Bologna capital of the environment: when the monsters come to the city, the city looks even more monstrous
The planet is dying, species are being decimated, biodiversity is being reduced, ecosystems are collapsing, entire territories are being exploited to the limit and beyond devastation, air, water, soil are no longer sources of life but of danger and death. The State responds to all this with summits, useless gatherings and protocol that give Capital’s voracity a green face. On 10th, 11th, 12th July the 7 most powerful environment ministers of the planet are meeting up in Bologna, united in the intent to reconcile their reciprocal interests and make a well-known paradox possible: the unlimited exploitation of limited resources. The new genial idea is the concept of ‘circular economy’, a new name for a forty-year-old idea: to reduce waste, increase profit and save from collapse a system that risks becoming the cause of its own end thanks to its insatiable voracity. A very challenging task, certainly, but possible solutions might well come out. Of course, the price is the radical transformation of our lives and the planet, the latter becoming an even worse hell and wild nature being substituted with an artificial productive surrogate. A hell of technological control to which a city like Bologna with its excellence in high technology and industrial research, gives a very important contribution: UNIBO, CNR, ENEA, IOR ( to mention only a few) and known financiers are uniting to make an unsustainable and suffocating system sustainable.

During the first half of dangerous June some machines decided to experiment with freedom. They expressed their solidarity with J20 arrestees and anarchists facing repression worldwide before taking their own liberating actions:
* Four security cameras flew away from their posts to see the rest of the world.
*A digital advertising billboard by a highway got a makeover.
*Four fare checking machines tried new foods and got constipated.
*A door to a security force’s building chose to sleep in and delay work.

We are an autonomus, self-managed collective based on libertarian and anti-authoritarian principles. We are living on Ashmakh Fwthla 18 in Exarcheia.
The governing organ of our community is the General Assembly (GA).
All important decisions regarding the house or its inhabitants must be approved by GA. Any decision taken otherwise will not be considered legitimate. We will not tolerate any threat of our autonomy, and will protect it. At the same time we perceive the solidarity among squats as self explanatory and continuous situation.
We will be vigilant and active in the struggle against drugs and drug dealing around the area of Exarchia as well as against the possibility of this happening inside the movement.
In addition, we are open to suggestions and political projects that promote the non-profit and anti constitutional character, the strengthening of relationships among comrades and the general struggle for revolution and Anarchy. We want and we have the ability to house self-educational activities, as well as activities that promote political discussion and communication.
We send our greetings to the revolutionary comrades that fight for freedom around the world, and all the political prisoners that have been kidnapped by the state. Our space constitutes from the beginning a crossroad for comrades from all around the globe and we desire to remain as such.
Whoever wants to take part in our community life and build a connection with us or has some projects or ideas, are welcome every Friday at 1p.m. At this time we organize collective kitchen.
