The number of cars burned is up 23% from last year and that of those in custody jumped 68%.
In total, 723 people were arrested during those two nights. “Particularly mobilized, especially through Vigipirate, the police applied zero tolerance against these excesses”, a spokesman for the ministry told AFP.
