For this Saturday, October 5, 2019, the “yellow vests” of the northwest called to come and converge on Amiens which, for the symbol, is the city where the head of State comes from.
This demonstration, attended by more than 500 people, was rather offensive, thanks in particular to more than thirty protesters in « black bloc » mode.
Most of the clashes with the police took place on the major St. Pierre Léon-Dupontreué axis, resulting in two CRS wounded, according to the prefecture.
But the disorder wasn’t limited to sporadic clashes with the CRS. There were several blows to the infrastructure of capitalism. Dozens of hooded people destroyed several bus shelters and parking metres. Five bank branches had their windows and doors shattered. A florist had his window broken. Containers were burned. A MacDonalds restaurant was stoned and the showcase of the drive (drive-in) was destroyed.
